NeSPE Eastern Chapter Scholarship

University of Nebraska at Omaha - Engineering College Scholarship

A Scholarship for a UNO engineering student is currently available from the Nebraska Society of Professional Engineers. The criteria required is to be a junior or senior standing in an accredited engineering curriculum at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. The NeSPE Eastern Chapter scholarship is for $500.

To qualify for the Nebraska Society Professional Engineers (NeSPE), the applicant must submit 2 copies of the attached application, teacher recommendations, employer recommendations (optional), essay, official transcripts, and NSPE membership information (optional) to the following address by April 16, 2008 (extended to April 30).

Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship

Dr. Anita Borg (1949-2003) devoted her life to revolutionizing the way we think about technology and dismantling the barriers that keep women and minorities from entering the computing and technology fields.

As part of Google's ongoing commitment to furthering Anita's vision, we are pleased to announce the 2008 Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship. A group of female undergraduate and graduate students will each receive a $10,000 scholarship for the 2008-2009 academic year. All finalists will also be invited to attend a 2-day retreat at the Googleplex in Mountain View, CA, in April 2008.
